1. Someone who drivels.
   • 1841, Various, Punch, or the London Charivari. Vol. 1, July 31, 1841:

     I can smash Shakspeare; I can prove Milton to be a driveller, or the contrary: but, for preference, take, as I have said, the abusive line.

   • 1893, James Runciman, Side Lights:

     Think of the men whom I may call book-eaters!      Well away from the centre of sanity is dwile flonking. In this game, or possibly sport, a circle of girters dances round a member of the opposing team who revolves in the opposite direction holding a driveller.
