     Section 24 The king shall appoint public officers, either military or civil, to positions of permanent secretary, director general, or equivalent positions, as well as judges and justices, office holders in the constitutional organs under the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, 2550 Buddhist Era, and other public officers, as prescribed by law. He shall also remove them, except when they vacate office by reason of death.

     Section 71/9 There shall be an Office of the Public Sector Development Commission, being a public agency under the Office of the Prime Minister, and responsible for administrative affairs of the PSDC as well as other duties as determined by the law or PSDC. And there shall be a PSDC Secretary General, who is an ordinary civil officer, to serve as the commander of public officers and employees of the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission and to be accountable to the Prime Minister for their performance of public functions.
