Old Armenian

Etymology

Composed of the stem vowel -ո- (-o-) and the Proto-Indo-European postposition *-dʰy(V) or *-gʰ followed by a front vowel. Compare Ancient Greek -θι (-thi) in οὐρανό-θι (ouranó-thi, in heaven).

Ačaṙean connects with () in գեղջ (gełǰ) and calls it an “augmentative genitive-dative marker”.
