では ‎(romaji de wa)

1. at, in a place (as the topic of a statement)

   彼 (かれ)は家 (いえ)ではおとなしい。

   Kare wa ie de wa otonashii.

   [As for] In the house, he is quiet. (Otherwise, he may be not quiet.)

   ここでは駐車 (ちゅうしゃ)が出来 (でき)ない。

   Koko de wa chūsha ga dekinai.

   Cannot park in this place. (Maybe can park in some other place.)

1. well, so, well then (used at the start of a sentence as an interjection or conjunction, leading in from the previous statement)

     では C-v （次の画面を見る）をタイプして次の画面に進んで下さい。（さあ、やってみましょう。コントロールキーを押しながら v です）
