1. (law) expulsion: disciplinary penalty of removal from membership, office, service, etc.

     Any ordinary civil officer who breaches discipline must incur a disciplinary penalty. There are five disciplinary penalties: reprimand, cut of salary, demotion of salary, dismissal, and expulsion.

   • โทษทางวินัยมี ๕ สถาน คือ ไล่ออก ปลดออก ให้ออก งดเลื่อนตำแหน่งหรืองดเลื่อนเงินเดือน ภาคทัณฑ์ การสั่งลงโทษข้าราชการตุลาการในสถานไล่ออก ปลดออก หรือให้ออกนั้น จะกระทำได้เมื่อได้สอบสวนตามส่วนที่ ๒ ของหมวดนี้แล้ว‎

     There are five disciplinary penalties: expulsion, dismissal, discharge, suspension from promotion of rank or salary, and reprimand. An order imposing the penalty of expulsion, dismissal, or discharge upon any judicial officer may be issued only after an examination has been conducted according to Part 2 of this Chapter.

     The administrative courts judicial service commission has resolved to expulse four administrative court judges from office due to gross misconduct.

     The finance ministry orders two revenue department officials to be expulsed following VAT frauds.
