תְּנַאי • ‎(t'nái) m ‎(plural indefinite תְּנָאִים, singular construct תְּנַאי־, plural construct תְּנַאֵי־)

1. (logic) A condition, an antecedent: the first half of a conditional statement, on which the consequent depends.
2. A condition (to an agreement): a proviso, a requirement, a prerequisite.
