Usage notes

• Only the forms shown in the conjugation table have survived in the competition with the verb ասեմ ‎(asem), and these forms too are only rarely attested independently as verbs: usually they appear together with ասեմ ‎(asem) as conjunctions.
• The forms բամ ‎(bam, “I say”), բաս ‎(bas, “you say”), բայ ‎(bay, “he says”) and the imperative բա ‎(ba, “say!”) are used as conjunctions with the meaning of “that”, e.g. ասաց բայ գայ եւ ահա եկն ‎(asacʿ bay gay ew aha ekn, “he said that he will come and he came”).
