Etymology
From Proto-Albanian*tri/eK-(ś-), of uncertain origin, probably from Proto-Indo-European*tréyes 'three'. Similar formation with degё. Cognate to Ancient Greek τρέχνος(trékhnos) and τέρχνος(térkhnos, “sprout, (young) shoot”)[1].
