Etymology

From the scientific term anorexia nervosa (1957), from the symptom anorexia ‎(“loss of appetite”), from Ancient Greek ἀν- ‎(an-, “without”) + ὄρεξις ‎(órexis, “appetite, desire”), and Latin nervōsa ‎(“nervous”).
