Usage notes

• The word may be used for “elsewhere” when it refers to a geographical place or region: In München war schönes Wetter, aber andernorts hat es geregnet. – “The weather was fine in Munich, but it was raining elsewhere.”
• Andernorts will not be used referring to non-geographical places, for example “elsewhere in the garden, the apartment, etc.”
