  2. Second-person singular (tu) affirmative imperative of adiar

Romanian

Etymology

Either from Vulgar Latin root *adiliare, from Latin ilia or more likely from a Vulgar Latin root *adoliāre, from Latin adolēre, present active infinitive of adoleō (burn; hence turn to vapor), possibly through an early Romanian form *aduia. Another theory suggests a Latin root *aduliāre, from adulārī. [1]
