Usage notes

  • In meaning 1 the plural is Stück. It occurs only after numerals and wie viel ("how many").
  • In meanings 2–4 the plural is Stücke.
  • Additional, more colloquial diminutive forms include western German Stückelchen and Austro-Bavarian Stückerl.
