Animal fat in a soft state; oily or unctuous matter of any kind, as tallow, lard; but particularly the fatty matter of land animals, as distinguished from the oily matter of marine animals.

A swelling and gourdiness of a horse's legs, occasioned by traveling or by standing long in a stable.
