Production

  • This two-handed ASL sign is produced as follows:
    1. Posture the nondominant hand in the “flat B” handshape in front of the center of the chest, nondominant palm facing up. Posture the dominant hand in the “flat 9” shape at the base of the nondominant palm, dominant palm facing down.
    2. Move the dominant hand forward while holding the nondominant hand in this posture.
    3. Posture the nondominant hand in the “flat B” handshape in front of the center of the chest, nondominant palm facing up. Posture the dominant hand in the “flat 9” shape with the extended dominant finger or fingers in between those of the nondominant hand, dominant palm facing down.
  • Alternatively, both palms may face each other with the extended fingers of each hand pointing up. In this form, the dominant hand moves up instead of forward.
  • Alternatively, the dominant hand may contact the nondominant hand multiple times while it moves from base to tip.
