From Ukrainian Євромайда́н ‎(Jevromajdán), from Євро́па ‎(Jevrópa, “Europe”) + майда́н ‎(majdán, “square”), named after Майда́н Незале́жності ‎(Majdán Nezaléžnosti, “Independence Square”) in Kiev.
