1. save, rescue, relieve

   この犬 (いぬ)は山 (やま)の遭難者 (そうなんしゃ)を救 (すく)うように訓練 (くんれん)されている。

   Kono inu wa yama no sōnansha o sukuu yō ni kunren sarete iru.

   This dog is trained to rescue climbers who have met with accidents.
