Usage notes

• 個／个 (go3) is a classifier. Use 呢 + classifier for words that have classifiers. For example, if one were to say "this pair of pants", it would be

呢條褲 / 呢条裤 [Cantonese]  ―  ni¹tiu⁴ fu³ [Jyutping]  ―  this pair of pants

and not

*呢個褲 / *呢个裤 [Cantonese]  ―  * ni¹go³ fu³ [Jyutping]  ―  *this [one] pants

or

*呢個條褲 / *呢个条裤 [Cantonese]  ―  * ni¹go³ tiu⁴ fu³ [Jyutping]  ―  *this [one] pair pants
