Etymology

From Sanskrit तीर्थ ‎(tīrtha, “a passage, way, road, ford, stairs for landing or for descent into a river, bathing-place, place of pilgrimage on the banks of sacred streams, piece of water”) + Telugu కాకి ‎(kāki, “crow”).
