דִּיאֵטָה • ‎(diéta) f ‎(plural indefinite דִּיאֵטוֹת, singular construct דיאטת־)

1. Diet, a diet: the food and beverage a person or animal consumes.

   הוא חי מדיאטה של שוקולד וקוקה־קולה.‎ ― hu khai midiéta shel shókolad v'kóka-kóla ― He lives on a diet of chocolate and Coca-Cola.

2. A diet: a controlled regimen of food and drink.

   חולי סכרת חייבים בדיאטה נטולת סוכר.‎ ― kholéi sakéret khayavím b'diéta n'tulát sukár. ― Diabetes patients need a low-sugar diet.

   אם אתה סובל מעודף משקל, התחל בדיאטה ותרזה.‎ ― im atá sovél mei'ódef mishkál, hatkhíl b'diéta ut'razé. ― If you suffer from overweight, start a diet and you'll get thinner.
