Usage notes

The conditional mood in Armenian shows actions in the future which depend on a condition; therefore, it is more typical to compound sentences. It has two tenses: future and future perfect.

• Infinitive: գրել ‎(grel) (grel) — to write
• Future tense conditional: կգրեմ ‎(kgrem) (kgrem) — I will write
• Future perfect tense conditional: կգրեի ‎(kgrei) (kgrei) — I would have written
  • եթե ուզեմ, կգրեմ‎ ― etʿe uzem, kgrem ― if I want, I will write
