1. (colloquial, humorous) to add insult to injury, to make matters worse, to add fuel to the fire (said of occasions when things that are already in a difficult situation get worse or have an additional complication)

   Δεν φτάνει που μου είχε σκάσει το λάστιχο, πετάχτηκε και ένα χαλίκι και μου 'σπάσε το παρμπρίζ. Όλα του γάμου δύσκολα!‎ ― Den ftánei pou mou eíche skásei to lásticho, petáchtike kai éna chalíki kai mou 'spáse to parmpríz. Óla tou gámou dýskola! ― It's not enough that my tyre had burst; to make matters worse, a pebble flew up and broke my windshield!
